What are Seb K ?
Seborrheic Keratosis are benign, non contagious warts.
Seb K are caused by UV damage and ageing and can appear across the face and body particularly in sun exposed areas like the temples, forehead and back.
They vary in apperance often starting as small pale raised growths but ultimately become raised, dark brown with a crusty, unattractive appearance. It is advised to treat these as early as possible as treatment is quicker and there will be less potential of a pink “footprint” where healthy pink new skin areas will contrast against older, more pigmented skin. These will equalise more with time but a perfect match is never guaranteed this is still preferred to large brown warts that ultimately can crack, itch and bleed.
Seb K can begin on the face as small pale raised growths these will continue to grow and darken.
