What is Advanced Electrolysis?
Treatment can take just minutes for removal, with a sensation like a hot pinprick.
A tiny hair like probe is touched onto the skin surface, a safe, low current is released instantly dessicating the lesion or cauterising vessels, the vein visibly dissapears in treatment.

The video shows myself performing “Diathermy” or “Short Wave Diathermy (SWD).” I also offer “blend” but this would be based on presentation and consultation.

What causes Thread Veins?
Thread veins (Telangiectasia) are permanently dilated capillaries, as we age our skin loses elasticity through collagen and Elastin loss, these are what gives our skin it’s bounce.
The capillaries lose the ability to vasoconstrict and remain permanently dilated. Rosacea, picking spots, smoking, alcohol, strenous activities such as exercise and sun damage all lead to Thread Veins and Spider Veins.
My client shows one treatment before and immediately after for facial thread veins, the nose veins are common due to the pressure of nose blowing and allergies.

What are Spider Veins?
Spider Veins vs Thread Veins
They are very similar and essentially treated the same way, a Spider Vein is a small cluster of radiating veins from a central body where Thread Veins are more linear and branching.

F.A.Q's
This is minimally invase treatment. The same day you can go to work and carry on most lifestyle activities.
You must not apply makeup, products or touch skin for 24 hours. It is important to treat the skin as a wound and keep it clean.
Most clients experience minimal to no downtime however, some discomfort and unnapealing appearance is natural and expected. The sensation is similar to sunburn (possibility of swelling, redness, heat, sensitivity up to 48 hrs).
In reality clients tend to just look red, with minor scabbing. Purchasing Aftecare is advised and helps speed healing, sooth and improve results.
Vein removal :
Pinprick/bramble scratch like scabs may form for around 7-10 days. Do not remove scabs.
Clients tolerate Advanced Electrolysis without issue. Please do not use numbing cream, it isn't necessary and will prevent treatment by blanching veins.
A safe and precise current from a hair like probe cauterises the blood supply within seconds. Electrolysis uses High frequency waves to stimulate the salts and water in the tissue to vibrate rapidly creating heat, the blemish will be cauterised or desiccated.
Electrolysis Thread Vein removal is not available on the NHS, as a cosmetic treatment it must be performed by a licensed, private Electrologist.
As a Electrologist and Skin Specialist my Advanced Cosmetic Procedure clinic specialises in lesion removal.
