Chemical Peel

What can a Chemical peel treat?

Chemical Peels involve applying acid to the skin for controlled Epidermal removal. Chemical Peels can improve the appearance of:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Hyperpigmentation and dark spots
  • Brighten and improve skin tone
  • Firmness

Maximum skin transformation is obtained by using peels in combination with other skin treatments on the face and body for this reason I do not offer standalone Peels. Skin Resurfacing is my preferred peel alternative.

What Peel is best?

Skin Resurfacing Treatment TCA Peel is best for dramatic results. The revolutionary no pain, no downtime pHformula Skin Resurfacing TCA peel treatment is the best alternative due it’s revolutionary, encapsulated delivery system.

What is the downtime?

As A Skin Specialist I choose the correct formultation of acids to match your skin condition and concern. I use advanced formulations in my Westhoughton Skin Clinic to achieve achieve skin transformation without peeling,  downtime, irritation or discomfort. Immediately after a chemical peel skin appears rejuvenated and bright.

Peel brands vary wildly in effectiveness, results and downtime. Inferior peels result in extensive peeling, high risk of chemical burns, huge downtime and the possibility or hypopigmentation (loss of skin pigment) or hyperpigmentation (increased pigment).

Medical and dermal or deep peels can lead to more skin issues such as hyperpigmentation and scarring.

What is a better alternative?

This depends on the concern but like for like I would advise Skin Resurfacing as this works on the deep skin layers  allowing for advanced, skin transformational results with minimal downtime.

Can anyone have a Peel?

No, your skin must be suitable following consultation. Contact us to discover the best treatment for you.

Can I have a Chemical Peel for Melasma?

Maximum results would be seen with my Skin Resurfacing Treatment instead of Chemical Peel for Melasma. Melasma is a hormonally driven condition that can never be cured but can be reduced and managed.

A peel peel would be more superficial exfoliating only the skin surface we need to go deeper, advanced results would be seen by targeting the Melanocytes in the deep skin layers. pHformula Skin resurfacing targets the Keratinocytes and cell signalling molecules to stop pigmentation overproduction.
